Motivating students to appreciate, play and create their own music.

Concert flute, Alto flute, Piccolo - American Indian, Chinese and Indian flutes, Pan Pipes,
Alto, Soprano, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones - Recorders, Ocarinas, Armenian Duduk,
Digeridoo, German Fife and an Aerophone (electronic wind instrument)
are all shown, explained and played effortlessly by Andrew Oh in this most comprehensive, inspiring exploration of woodwind instruments.

Flute Tones to Saxophones introduces students to the art of making music using the instruments belonging to the woodwind section.

Andrew traces the origin, history, culture and country of origin of the numerous instruments and plays music unique to each. As Andrew plays popular songs, movie and TV themes, students instantly recognize them and some will be surprised which instrument produced that particular sound. Rock, Blues, Jazz, Traditional and Fusion musical styles are all played as the dynamic range of sounds produced by the woodwind section is explored.

Few other musicians have the recording and live stage experience that Andrew Oh has and that experience certainly comes across in this outstanding performance.

For older students, tonal characteristics, technical differences and sound production are explored.
